There are several options to get into Atlantic City.
Transfers between the Airports and the Jersey
Shore
By Bus
From Newark International Airport: Take NJ Transit
bus #302 to Newark's Penn Station, from where you
can take bus #319 to Atlantic City and shore points
south of Atlantic City. Another option is to take
bus #67, which leaves directly from Newark International
Airport and goes to Toms River.

NJ) buses from New York City leave from Manhattan's
Port Authority Bus Terminal, at 41st St. and 8th Ave.
Bus #319 leaves several times daily for Toms River,
Atlantic City, and shore points south, including Ocean
City, Wildwood, and Cape May.
Buses from Philadelphia leave from the Greyhound Bus
Terminal, at the corner of 10th and Filbert. Buses
#313, 315, and 316 (seasonal) serve shore points south
of Atlantic City; bus #317 goes to Asbury Park.
Academy Lines

between New York City and Atlantic City.
Greyhound
(PHONE: 609/345-6617 or 800/231-2222) serves Atlantic
City.
By Car
The main road serving the Jersey Shore is the Garden
State Parkway, a north-south toll road that ends in
Cape May. From New York City, I-80 and the New Jersey
Turnpike (toll) connect with the Garden State.
From Philadelphia and southern New Jersey suburbs,
take the Atlantic City Expressway (toll).
From the south take the Delaware Memorial Bridge and
continue north on the New Jersey Turnpike. Toms River,
Barnegat, and Tuckerton are linked by U.S. 9.
By Train
Amtrak
(1 Atlantic City Expressway, near Kirkman Blvd., PHONE:
800/872-7245 or 973/762-5100) serves Philadelphia.
From there, Amtrak can then book you on a NJ Transit
bus to Atlantic City -- a trip of about an hour and
40 minutes. Contact Amtrak for more information.
NJ Transit

from northern NJ; 800/582-5946 toll-free from southern
NJ) operates local commuter service. The Atlantic
City Rail line goes from Philadelphia to Atlantic
City, with interim stops including Absecon. The North
Jersey Coast Line leaves New York's Penn Station for
northern Jersey Shore towns, including Asbury Park,
Spring Lake, and Point Pleasant Beach.
From Philadelphia International Airport: Take the
R1 trains of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation
Authority (SEPTA) (PHONE: 215-580-7800, www.septa.org)
to the 30th Street Station. From there, you can take
a NJ Transit train to Atlantic City. Train Information: You can travel via train from the Philadelphia 30th Street station to Atlantic City for $8 per person, each way.
Alternatively, you could continue on the train to
Market East Station (2 stops beyond 30th Station),
which is 2 blocks from the Greyhound Bus Terminal,
at the corner of 10th and Filbert. From there, you
can take a NJ Transit bus to a variety of Jersey Shore
stops.
